Alison Bryan is a Registered Nurse and lecturer at James Cook University in Mackay. Ali has a Bachelor of Nursing and a Masters in Nursing education and is dedicated to creating and inspiring the future leaders in nursing.

Ali is a Mackay local who has a passion for palliative care nursing.

Chris Raines is a Registered Nurse and Endorsed Midwife who currently lectures within the Bachelor of Nursing Science at James Cook University. Chris has a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Diploma of Midwifery, Graduate Certificate in Child, Youth and Family Health, a Masters in Public Health and is the owner of Dauntless Education.

Megan Dale is a Registered Nurse with a wide range of experience across of a variety of specialties. Megan's skills include lecturing within the Bachelor of Nursing (Science) as well as project and nursing management and Megan has been instrumental in the Mackay response to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Jane O'Shannessy is a Registered Nurse, Midwife and Child Health Nurse with a Master in Nursing (Clinical Nursing). Jane has lectured at James Cook University, worked as Director of Nursing at Dirrinabandi Hospital and is enthusiastic about sharing the joys of rural and remote area nursing with the world.

Tania Kelly is the founder and owner of Kelly Health: Mental Health & Addiction Solutions, providing Mental Health and Addiction services to the Mackay region. Tania has recently published Keep Calm and Treat Addiction: Your 12- step guide to client recovery to equip others including nurses, to feel confident in working with their current client base who are struggling with addiction.

Elly Foster is a Registered nurse, qualified stoma nurse and also works as an after hours nurse supervisor. Elly works at the Mackay Mater Hospital where she is highly sought after for her wound care and stoma knowledge.

Paul Baretta is a Registered nurse with extensive experience in nursing and the support of student nurses. Paul has worked in numerous roles, including NUM, Hospital Coordinator and Nursing Lecturer at James Cook University. Paul is a Mackay local and is currently working towards his Master of nursing.

Donna Pini has been working as a Nurse Practitioner at the Mackay Sexual Health Clinic since 2014 and as a Clinical Nurse prior tot that time. Her interest in sexual health and HIV began in the late 1990's working with Medecins sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) predominantly in Africa..

Courtney Frerichs is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and the founder of Playful Possibilities.  Courtney brings neuroscience into everyday language, empowering children and families to better understand themselves and build the lives they desire. While also taking on opportunities to provide training to local organisations seeking to upskill so that our community as a whole can become more mental health literate.

Deb Friel is an academic at CQUniversity and has held the position of Manager of the Centre for Professional Development for the past 9 years.  Deb has several conference papers, publications and two book chapters in the areas of organ donation and critical care. Currently managing CQUniversity micro-credential development, Deb to develop micro-credentials, short courses and bespoke training opportunities for industry, students, alumni and organisations.

Donna Fechner is currently Acting Nurse Unit Manager of Mackay Child, Youth and Family Health & Sexual Health and Sexual Assault Service with qualifications including B.Nursing;  B.Education;  Grad Dip Midwifery;  Grad Cert Child & Family Health;  Cert IV Training & Assessment; Immunisation Certification. Donna has worked in QLD, NSW, NT and overseas in a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics; Mental Health; Midwifery; Child Health and as Clinical Facilitator (B.Nursing) for Southern Cross University.

Elizabeth Gibson is a Clinical Research Nurse/Study Co-ordinator at Coral Sea Clinical Research Institute.  Elizabeth has extensive experience working in clinical trials including Haematology, Neurology, Rheumatology and Gastroenterology. Elizabeth is responsible for the start up and maintenance and the day to day running of clinical trials.
